The objective of this project is for you to take an active role in deterring adolescents from smoking, drinking, or taking drugs.

-       In addition to creating your PSA, you will also be responsible for designing a poster about the negative effects of one specific drug or drug category.

The PSA and Poster will be due on May 18 (SUMMATIVE GRADE)

You have 3 options in creating your PSA

The main purpose of your PSA is to effectively get the message across to the audience that drug use can lead to addiction.

DO NOW: Log into blog and leave a reflection about your experience with others having the baby in classes. How do you feel when a baby cries during a test?  How do you feel when you see a baby simulator being abused by getting tossed around in class?

OBJECTIVE: We will review the rules for the baby simulator and you will begin your google document Then you will write an essay explaining your anti-teen pregnancy goal, which is a purpose for avoiding teen pregnancy that you will create after exploring the internet resources-LINK->.UNIT .

Collect (two babies who have been abused -100 points from parent allowing baby to be taken and tossed around in class)  Teachers have told me to collect the baby from those two students because they allowed their baby to be taken and get tossed around.  Each child is worth $325 dollars and I WILL NOT ALLOW a baby to get BROKEN and other students miss out on the opportunity BECAUSE A FEW failed to be responsible!!
3. Salma & Citlali will get those 2 babies.  Anyone else who gets -100 points for baby abuse or tampering will have child collected.
4.  Students who had baby taken away will begin writing their two-page document. Document must answer questions on blog from Tuesday and your experience caring for the child.

Task
Your job in the WebQuest is to learn how your self-esteem and self-respect affect your life and how you can take actions to improve both. You will learn about positive and negative influences that affect your self-esteem. You will learn how low self-esteem can harm your health. After reading the questions below, you will research the influences on and the effects of your own self- image and then create a list of ten actions you can take to improve your self-esteem and self-respect.

Before you begin your internet research, study the following questions about self-esteem and self-respect. As you visit the resource Web sites, consider the answers to these questions and begin to make a list of ten things you can do to improve your self-esteem and self-respect. Your list needs to include specific examples of the actions you plan to take. For each action on your list, describe how it will improve your self-esteem or self-respect.
