1.  No babysitting during school hours between classes you must keep your child at all times
as assigned.  Babysitting is only allowed for those students who are in extra-curricular activities like basketball.

ASSIGN YOURSELF: This weekend you have a difficult time and ARE ONLY able to find a babysitter you can sit for you once for 2 hours.  You are left to care for your child the entire weekend, the child must be with you.  You use this time to record in your baby book proof of your attempt to be a good parent, your feedings, your reading to your child & your time spent etc.  Pictures are required to post on your blog.  Use this time to create a google doc to begin your 2 page essay.


DO NOW: Take out your baby log book- I will stamp those who have kept a log as assigned.


OBJECTIVE: I will learn more about my child's expenses &/or my child's birth defect.  I will calculate the costs to raise my child on my less than high school diploma or high school diploma, depending on which circumstance I draw from the cup.

PLEASE USE THIS calculator to gather the costs based on 2010 using your salary which ONE TIME COST items will you choose to purchase.  I want you to use this calculator and figure out which you will be able to afford and include in your essay section on the costs of raising a baby.
4.  Daily reflection of what it is like to be responsible for the care of your child.  Post picture along with your recording of who,what when & where.  Your baby log can be recording on the blog directly in lieu of the handout for those of you who do have internet at home and wish to post.
Your baby book reflection should also include a diary with entries every 2-3 hrs describing what your baby did. A four hour feeding schedule should be included. *Remember most babies wake up every 3-4 hrs and are awake for 1-2 hour stretches.
